Organic Hair Rinse

My natural castile shampoo is fantastic. It gets my hair really clean and adds a lot of volume, but it can make my hair feel a little heavy. I realized that I would need a conditioner or hair rinse to use with it, so I started experimenting. After many attempts at a variety of serums and masques, I finally settled on the thing that works best for me - a simple two-ingredient hair rinse!

Here's The Recipe:

1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar (I use Trader Joe's organic)

2 cups of cool water

Mix it together in a large container. I use a plastic tupperware container that I just leave in the shower, since I use the entire mix each time I wash and rinse my hair.

Directions For Use:

1. Shampoo with the castile shampoo.

2. Rinse with cool water.

3. Then, rinse your hair with the ACV mixture. It will make your hair feel instantly silky and smooth.

4. Rinse again with plain cool or cold water and you're done!

How Often Should I Rinse My Hair?

Use the ACV rinse every time you shampoo. I only shampoo my hair 2-3 times per week. If you are shampooing more often than that, you might find that your hair feels dry or brittle. Try to reduce the washes to every-other-day or just a couple of times a week.

An Important Note:

Like anything that is new for your body, it make take some time for your hair to adjust to the shampoo and rinse. For the first week or two, you may notice some changes to your hair (it may get more dry or more greasy, it may feel heavy or oily, it may be more tangled, it may have more or less volume, etc.). THIS IS NORMAL! Let your hair adjust and by the second or third week, you should have clean, soft, gorgeous locks!
